DOWNS VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK

One of the most significant milestones for Downs Community Connection in 2025 was the purchase of the property at 421 Morgan Avenue using DCC’s own funds. This site will become the future home of  the Downs Veterans Memorial Park and provide additional parking for Memorial Hall. DCC successfully secured grant funding for demolition, and the existing structures have now been removed clearing the site. Planning and design work for the Veterans Memorial is moving forward as the group continues working diligently to bring this meaningful project to life.

DCC remains committed to strengthening community pride, honoring our veterans, and creating welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike.
